ABOUT US:
Lake of
the Woods Leeching Co. is a locally owned and operated bait business that we established
back in 2005. That first summer, we
"tested the waters" so to speak, working a full time job elsewhere
during the week, and working our bait grounds on the weekends. We
now serve customers across
Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and Minnesota.
Our bait
blocks consist of a wide variety of healthy beaver ponds and inland
lakes, all located on islands in the pristine wilderness of the beautiful and popular Lake of the
Woods, in Ontario, Canada.

PLEASE
NOTE: We have been getting several inquiries from various states in
the US, but we are sorry to say, that due to current laws, restrictions and
regulations, we are unable to ship any of our leeches into the US.
We also
offer minnows on a limited basis, as well as frozen shiners late each
Fall.

LEECHES:
"We don't bite off more than we
can chew"...We take great
pride in keeping our customers
happy, and therefore we don't
run ourselves too thin. We
take on only a limited number of
clients each year to help ensure
that
we will be able to supply our
"regulars" with their required
leech supply from May right
through to the end of our leech
season. This normally means that we
are even able to give a little
advance warning as to when the
season is coming to a halt,
but unfortunately, sometimes, as we found out
in 2010, we aren't always able
to predict Mother Nature's
plans, but we
do pledge to always do the
best we can, because afterall,
a HAPPY customer is a REPEAT
customer!
FROZEN SHINERS:
Late
in the Fall of each year, usually just prior to "freeze-up", we seine
and freeze large quantities of shiners. We offer them in two
size/packaging options that will suit most every fisherperson's needs.
We offer "snack sized" baggies, which hold approximately 4-6oz of
shiners, and we also fill 8oz clear plastic, covered containers.
Since Shiners have such a short run each Fall,
our supply is quite limited. Pre-booking/reserving your
annual supply will help to ensure we can meet your requirements.
